Abstract
From civil infrastructure inspection and precision agriculture to security surveillance and real-time monitoring, the public utilization of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has grown exponentially. A strong foundation for cyber defense, data security, information security, and network security can be established through blockchain technology, leveraging its intrinsic features such as privacy, consensus mechanisms, immutability, and decentralization. This paper presents a comprehensive study of the future directions and key research challenges of UAVs with respect to blockchain technology, including implications for national defense and cyber warfare. Various cybersecurity tools, stochastic models, cyber frameworks, and war theories are analyzed, and key guidelines are provided integrating blockchain features for UAV applications.
